About Us

Heritage Baptist Church began as a small Bible study in Mount Pleasant in June 2000. The first Sunday service was held on August 27, 2000 at the Mount Pleasant Recreation Center and attendees continued to meet at that location for nearly 3 years. In 2003, an office space on 500 West was secured; and on March 22, 2003 - with just 3 members along side the founding pastor and his wife, David and Millie Preston - the church was officially organized. Over the next 7 years, other believers were added to the small body and it was necessary to seek a new meeting location! God provided in a miraculous way and a foreclosed medical building was purchased in September 2011. Our current building has been renovated and serves as a wonderful sanctuary for our weekly meetings. God has continued to bless both spiritually and numerically over the years and we look forward to what He has in store for us ahead!
